Project 1: Promotional Packaging

Week 6
This week we started doing project 1, which is designing a new happy meal box with its fun fries packaging. Our new design needs to include educational information within the design. We need to propose an idea that will convey the target audience's message.

This week, we need to develop an idea for a new design for the happy meal box.

Week 7
After getting the feedback from the lecturer, we need to proceed with a sketch of the idea. The first attempt at my sketches included six transportation. At first, I was thinking of adding more variations of transportation, so I added an  LRT train. But after an overall thinking process, I decided to take it off due to the rest of the vehicles I have having their own duties.

This week I didn't have a chance to consult with Mr.Shamsul, but Ms.April said the idea is good to go, hence, I started to digitize it in Adobe Illustrator.

Week 8
This week is independent learning week, and we have to complete this task within this week. My friend who consulted with Mr.Shamsul informed me that the folding parts need to be blank, so I do some proper adjustments to fit my design into it.
This is the final outcome that I came out with. Don't know what is the problem with the colours.. The colour in AI and after exporting is different.

For the fun fries packaging, I reused the elements from the happy meal. On the back side of it, I create a small map with the McDonald's restaurant in the middle.

Week6
Mr.Shamsul said the idea was rare because none of my classmates has purposed for this idea, which is a good thing. He said the paper crafting characters game is too complicated for kids and the size will be too small. The mix-and-match game is good and enough for the box.
