LECTURE

Week 1 
 29/3/22
Introduction / Briefing
During the first week of the semester, we met our lecturer, Mr. Shamsul. He briefed us about the module information and then we started our first lecture. This week we learned about the website and its basic knowledge.

Types of Websites
  1. Personal Website
  2. Educational Website
  3. E-commerce Website
  4. Non-profit Website
Week 2 
  5/4/22
This week we were focused on web design and new media. We have been introduced to the web standard, how the web works, the structure of a web page, and how pages use structure by Mr.Shamsul.
After that we TextEdit to do a simple exercise in class with a step-by-step guide with Mr.Shamsul.

Week 3 
 12/4/22
This week we learned about how to add images in HTML as well as the ID and class attribute and also the extra markup.

Week 4 
 19/4/22
Public Holiday.

Week 5 
 26/4/22
We learned about the basic of CSS - how to change font-weight (BOLD) & font-style (ITALIC), text-decoration (UNDERLINE & STRIKE), text-indent, text-shadow, box dimensions, limiting width & height, overflowing content, border, margin & padding, and display property.

Week 6 
 3/5/22
Public holiday.

Week 7 
 10/5/22
This week we had a step-by-step tutorial with Mr.Shamsul, we experimented with all the things that we learned in week 5.

EXERCISES

Exercise A 
Week 1 - 29/3/22
With a basic understanding of the principles behind effective website design and implementation, we were required to do a possibilities survey, in which we had to find THREE good websites and THREE bad websites as examples, and then evaluate them follow by the condition below:
  • Explain Design Pros/Cons
  • Target Audience
  • The goal of the website
  • Explain the purpose of the website

Exercise 1 
Week 2 - 5/4/22
After the lecture, we used TextEdit to do a simple exercise in class with a step-by-step guide with Mr.Shamsul.

Our assignment for this week is to create a web document with the given content. We have to follow exactly the format as in the provided document. Once we have completed the task, you were required to upload the web document to a web hosting: Netlify

Exercise 2
Week 3 - 12/4/22
This week we have to create a single HTML page that contains the given content. We have to include the images for the required sections and include an ID attribute to each main section.

Layout Exercise
Week 7 - 10/5/22
This week we had a step-by-step tutorial with Mr.Shamsul, we experimented with all the things that we learned in week 5.

Besides, this week we have an exercise on the layout. We were required to create a single web page based on the given content. We have the follow the layout as in the given reference and use an external CSS file to create the layout.

We need to create 5 pages by using Adobe Animate. It need to include some micro animation as well. For this project, I decided to do an extension website for one of my project in other module, as it is also a promotional campaign. Week 13 - 16 1. Promotional Website Layout Design This website is actually to promote one of the series of perfume from Zara, called Chapter 6. This chapter has four different fragrances in total.
