For the first class of our new semester, we were brief on our Module

Dr.Charles).
Besides, we also formed the group for our group project. After that,
Dr.Charles give us a lecture about Netnography.
Netnography
It is a systematic approach that us to organise the information and learn
learn how to systematically arrange the information, so it could support
hypotheses, assumptions or perspective. Once we have discovered the
information, we illustrate that outcome.
Netnography essentially is ethnography study but from the internet,
it require us to make a lot of observation online, it's different
from what we observe in real life. Using technologies such
as internet, forums, social media and etc.
Ethnography has been used basically to study cultures. Traditionally
Ethnography was coined in the late 1900s, the research of the need or
desire to understand cultures always increased during that time. For
example, Malaysia is multicultural, until today every cultures see thing
differently.
Ethnography is normally requires to stay with the specific
community.
Here are some key points of Ethnography
1. First-hand experience
2. Participatory
3. Face to face
4. On-site
5. Observational

Deductive: You don't know much about it, you have the major question about it, and you work from ground up. Therefore, you will need to collect much more information, and then from the collected information you come up with a theoretical statement.
3 Types of Data Collection:
1. Archive - Data from other people.
2. Elicited - Collect the information with other researchers and members.
3. Fieldnotes - Based on personal observation and reflective notes, every little thing matters and you should need to note down.

In this week, after Mr.Asrizal gave us a brief introduction of the module, we start forming our group. One our group were formed, our group leader suggested us to compile our ideas in Padlet, and we can discuss and pick one for our project.
During our first meeting, everyone present their own idea(s) and we having a vote for our one final idea. Everyone came out with different idea(s), and mine is the Day of The Dead. I found this culture is different from the others similar culture, because most of the people won't celebrate dead but mourn.
My group mates are agree with me and we decided to go with the Day of the Dead, a Mexican culture which celebrate life and death.

But after getting feedback from Ms.Jinchi, we decide to go with "Celebration & Reunion".Besides, Ms.Jinchi also gave us some suggestion for us to do the research and do a comparison from our choose culture with the similar culture and tell the reason why have chose it.
Everyone has assigned to their work in this proposal and I am in charged of the comparison with my partner YiQing. We decided to focus more on the basic information before we dive into the 5 preliminary ideas.

REFELCTIONS
This module has gave me a chance to learning discover about a culture which I'm not so familiar before. The first time I learned about this culture was through a Disney movie - Coco, at that time I suddenly felt that death was not so scary. Death is just another way to live again.
I was super inconfidence and worried about how I'm gonna get this through as my knowledge of English is insufficient. But my group mates are very helpful and our supervisor is very patient to explain all the things clearly to us. And also I'm always try my best and even helping my group mates too. From this group project, I'm more aware of the importance of personal contribution, even I'm not good at some aspects but I‘m also have my personal value and contribute to the group.
