 Week 2 - 30th August 2021

LECTURE

During our second class, Mr. Fauzi gave us the introduction to basic composition. It's about the focal point, scale and  hierarchy, balance of the elements and the white space as well. Besides, we were also taught about the rule of third and golden ratio. These are really interesting that we could just follow these rules and create any kind of art work. At the end of the lecture section, Mr. Fauzi show us a video that have a well expression of composition and it's about framing and cropping.

TUTORIAL

During the tutorial section, Mr. Fauzi show us a demo of the collage elements layering and composition. It's a video for us to refer to and we could start working on our first exercise.


PRACTICAL

This week, we were asked to use the elements that we were prepared last week to compose it into our own concept and story. We have to pre compositing our collage design elements into at least three composition, so that we are able to consult with Mr. Fauzi to complete our task. In this exercise, I try to applied the golden ratio and the third rules principle in my artwork, and I think some of them work!
