Digital Photography and Imaging - Week 4
Week 4 - 13th September 2021
LECTURE
In this class, we were able to learn more about editing in Adobe Photoshop.
We were focus on the Adjustment Layer and filters in this week. The
Adjustment Layering Photoshop are a group of useful and non-destructive
image editing tools which can add colour and tonal adjustments to the image
without permanently changing its pixels. Which are:
1. Brightness / Contrast
2. Level
3. Curves
4. Exposure
5. Selective Colour
TUTORIAL
During the tutorial section, before Mr. Fauzi gave us a demo of how to
use the adjustment tools, we watched some short tutorial video
first.
1. How to use Adjustment Layer.
2. Photo filter trick in Photoshop
3. Photoshop filters
PRACTICAL
This week we were required to use our final digital collage
which suggested by Mr. Fauzi to do the adjustments by using
the tools that we learned. We have to choose one to submit as our
weekly assignment. So I pick the Exposure Fig 1.4 for
my submission. But, honestly, I really like the outcome with
Level, Exposure and Selective Colour.
The Exposure Fig 1.4 are also balance both the highlight
and the shadows nicely.
I think Level Fig 1.2 are reached the balance of this
picture.
The outcome of Selective Colour Fig 1.5 is
just slightly change the colour in a perfect way.

Reflection
To be honest, this is really interesting because before learning the editing and adjustment skill in Adobe Photoshop, Usually I love to edit my own photo by using the original editor in phone. I do have quite a lot interest in this exercise. And I love the way of how my lecturer - Mr.Fauzi teaching us, he is patient and details.
