Week 1 - 23rd August 2021

LECTURE

In our very first class, after giving us a warm welcome, Mr. Fauzi briefed us about the module. This lecture is more focus on the introduction of the module and the coming assignments. From this lecture I'm able to know more about the importance of Photoshop to graphic designer and some useful tips. After that, Mr. Fauzi briefed us about the assignments and showed us some good example from our senior. Besides, Mr. Fauzi also recommended some of the cameras and tripod for us.

TUTORIAL
During the tutorial section, Mr. Fauzi show us a demo of the collage elements layering and composition. It's a video for us to refer to and we could start working on our first exercise.

This is not the first time I've known about this game, I've known this game from its advertisement on Facebook. I think this game is very helpful to the beginner of Photoshop. I've play two times of this game, first time I only left 11 nodes to spare but second time I got a big improvement to 23!

4. List down your 3 favourite graphic design work from Pinterest. Explain why you like the designs?



1.  I love the hierarchy of this design, it gives me a strong visual effect. I love the colour choice which in a warm and bright tone, this really makes me feel comfortable. There is a huge use of the design elements in this design, but all of them work pretty well together. And I think the interesting part is the way of how the white space is filled in, it is filled but it's not.



2.  I love the way all the elements (human, bird, fish, sky, plant) come together, all the connections, the curves are perfect. The use of geometry in this design gives a better sense of harmony. It clearly conveys the vitality of nature.


3. The last design that I have chosen would be this one. When I first saw this, I thought this could be an ice silk bedsheet advertisement. A woman sleeps sweetly and sounds on the mountain. I think this is a really great idea!



Elements Collection 

During our first class, we were asked to create an e-portfolio by ourselves, it's really a new and fresh thing to me since I never done before. We have to upload our learning progress and the exercises on our e-portfolio. Beside that, we were also need to prepare collage's design elements for Week 2 exercise. 

It's really difficult for me especially during this pandemic. I didn't have much elements for this exercise, I only left few pages of a magazine and that's all I have for the exercise. I can't get a new magazine due to the pandemic, but I try my best and use all I have. The picture below is the design of my collage exercise.

Advanced Interactive Design - Final Project
